The 2022 Range Rover Evoque is available with two engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. With that kind of power, the Evoque can charge from 0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds, while still achieving up an EPA-estimated 23 combined mpg. The second engine option will speak to environmentalists and enthusiasts alike with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid powertrain.
Capable of up to 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and the same combined mpg rating, the Evoque is truly a joy to drive with this powerplant. Both engine options are attached to a 9-speed transmission and can tow up to 3,306 pounds. That’s enough to pull a small trailer or a pair of jet skis to the mountains for the weekend.
The performance technology packed into the Range Rover Evoque, though, makes it a true off-roading machine. With the low-traction launch, this SUV will send the maximum amount of torque to the wheels when leaving from a standstill on surfaces with reduced traction, like sand. Hill descent control maintains speed and modulates the brakes when navigating down steep inclines. Gradient release control helps when you're driving on a steep incline. It prevents you from accelerating too quickly and makes climbing inclines much easier. Wade sensing can detect how deep the water around the 2022 Evoque is and will warn you when you're reaching the maximum wading depth. All-terrain progress control works like cruise control for off-roading. It lets you set and maintain a certain speed in off-road conditions.
