Land Rover spent a lot of time pushing the boundaries of the automotive industry, and the results are pretty clear. Over the years, the automaker created vehicles that not only performed well, but that also changed the industry at large. These iconic models became ingrained in the history of the car community when they were first introduced and continue to spark interest years later. The team here at Client has put together some of our favorite Land Rover vehicles throughout the years to celebrate how far the brand has come.

Land Rover Defender

The Defender nameplate was introduced in 1983, but the Defender first hit the automotive market as the Series 1 in 1948. It was successful for 67 years before it was retired in 2016. The quirky, military-style design of the Defender made it feel nostalgic, while the minimalist interior pays homage to the fact that the Defender was once a support vehicle for the British military. For 2020, the Defender has been resurrected with the spirit of rugged utility and performance it has always been known for, and we couldn't be more excited about this model.

LR4

Introduced in 2010, the LR4 offered one of the most versatile family vehicles on the market. On the street, the LR4 offered a quiet ride, comfortable handling, and satisfying power delivery. For the final year model, the LR4 featured a 3.0-liter supercharged V6, capable of up to 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Of course, no Land Rover is complete without off-roading capability. The LR4 seamlessly moved from the pavement to the mud, rocks, and trails. For 2017, the Land Rover Discovery took over the slot in the lineup as the brand’s ultimate vehicle for the active family.

Range Rover

In 1970, the first Range Rover was introduced to offer drivers an ultimate off-roading experience, with all the luxury they could ever want. Eleven years later, a four-door model was released, a formula that has survived to the current Range Rover model. The boxy design, elegant delivery, and remarkable capability of the Range Rover remain popular with people who crave the finest driving experience, whether they’re driving through the city or through the mountains.

Today, Land Rover is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world and continues to create vehicles that push the industry to the next level. If you’re ready to own what is sure to become a cornerstone of automotive history, take a look at our new inventory and then reach out to our team to schedule a test drive today.
